Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox, who studied for three years in the Royal Academy of Music London in the 1970s, was admitted. Lennox made it through on an allowance for students as well as working part-time to help supplement her income. Lennox wasn't content with her performance compared with other students at Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox began her career as musician with the group Dragons Playground. The group didn't get to compete in the competition for talent New Faces on I.T.V. From 1977 to 1980 she was singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British Pop band. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox started work with Diva in 1992. It was her first solo album. The album garnered a lot of praise from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was released in October 2014. The C.D. The C.D. comprises Lennox's favourite soul, jazz and blues songs of her youth. In addition in May 2019 Lennox released Lepidoptera an album of four piano pieces that she improvised. The E.P. The E.P. is her first independent album and a companion to an art installation she created at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on December 25, 1954. In the late 70s, she achieved minor fame as part of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. Lennox started her own solo career when she released her first album Diva in the year 1992. The album was the inspiration of several hit songs, including Why andWalking in Broken Glass. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. It has covers of some songs, including No MoreI love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo catalog includes six studio albums, as well as one compilation album. |
